Job Responsibilities In your role, your responsibilities will include: • Review and recommend policies to sharpen Singapore’s competitiveness as a location for corporate innovation activities • Analyse the research and innovation intensity of sectors which EDB oversees, to define EDB’s approach in encouraging industry research and innovation activities • Work closely with key companies, partner agencies (e.g. A*STAR, ESG and NRF) and divisions in EDB (e.g. Accounts, Investment Facilitation, Policy & Planning) to develop value propositions around talent and open innovation in Singapore • Drive and coordinate EDB’s involvement in whole-of-government R&D and innovation initiatives such as Global Innovation Alliance, Industry Alignment Fund, and Central Gap Requirements • At least 5 years of working experience, preferably in innovation-related or policy-making roles • Demonstrates a keen sense of business acumen, ability to adapt and respond quickly to changes in priorities • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and spoken; including ability and experience in engaging and managing stakeholders across all levels of seniority internally and externally • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking; ability to exercise analytical rigour for complex issues, structure analysis for ambiguous / complex issues and distil insights and actionable solutions • Singaporean
